The Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Net Zero Hub seeks to maximise the Âé¶¹Ö±²¥’s contribution to achieving a resilient and sustainable net zero world. We are harnessing the range and breadth of our research capabilities, both in the UK and globally, to develop solutions that have a transformational impact on the prospects of our region, its economy, its people, and its communities – with collaboration, openness, respect, and excellence embedded in all that we do.
We do this by integrating and enhancing our Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ partnership-wide offering, through:
- research and innovation to drive technological and social change,
- education and training to provide the skills needed to deliver a greener and brighter future and,
- engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to develop solutions collectively

Âé¶¹Ö±²¥ Net Zero research is based on our unique regional characteristics and strengths within the partnership, with a focus on research themes integral to the impact on, and ability of our local communities and economies to achieve Net Zero and sustainability goals.
By integrating our partnership-wide research offering we are connecting researchers nationally and internationally, integrating research with policymaking, business, and local government, engaging with students of all ages and supporting Âé¶¹Ö±²¥’s decarbonisation and sustainability agendas.
