The INSPIRE (Scotland) document sets out the University of the Highlands and Islands' interpretation of its 鈥減ublic task鈥� for the purposes of the INSPIRE (Scotland) Regulations 2009.  The INSPIRE (Scotland) Regulations 2009 apply to the primary copy of geospatial datasets relating to certain categories of information which are produced, received, managed or updated by a 鈥淪cottish public authority鈥� within the scope of its 鈥減ublic tasks鈥�.  This discussion of the University of the Highlands and Islands 鈥減ublic task鈥� is strictly limited to this specialist context and is not transferable to other spheres.
